CEASIDE 2023 is the fourth edition under the highly successful biennial conference ICETEST2023. The conference focuses on smart growth proposals for cities emphasizing the need for nature based solutions in energy efficiency through creation of ecosystem infrastructure and low zero impact approaches based on technology driven resource utilization. These new strategies also adopt the concept of justice, fairness and equity to achieve environmental sustainability by developing a social structure that determines the distribution of environmental benefits and burdens.


The Department of Civil Engineering started functioning in the very same year when the college was established. It offers B.Tech in Civil Engineering at the undergraduate level and four M.Tech programmes namely Environmental Engineering, Water Resources and Hydroinformatics, Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering. The department is an approved research centre for the PhD programmes under the QiP scheme of Ministry of Human Resources, Govt.of India, Private and Public sector enterprises within and outside Kerala. The department has been since its very inception executed a large number of consultancy and testing activities of various clients including Government, private and public sector enterprises within and outside Kerala.


B. Arch. course started at Government Engineering College Wayanad in 1999 affiliated to Kannur University, and was shifted to Government Engineering College, Thrissur with the approval of Council of Architecture and AICTE in the year 2000. Currently the intake is 44 students for B. Arch Programme. In 2014, the department started offering M.Planning PG programme with an intake of 18 students. Both PG & UG programmes shifted to Kerala Technological University (KTU) in 2016. In 2021 the department started PhD programme. The Department has a rich academic record with students bagging national and international awards of excellence. The faculty is well qualified and experienced and the department has professional consultancies with a clientele including Government of Kerala and various public and private institutions.

Call for Papers

The prospective authors are called up on to submit full papers incorporating the original research work pertaining to the topics indicated below before the dead line. The submission will be strictly online through the website of ICETEST2023 with maximum paper length of six pages including tables, figures and reference. The paper must provide a clear idea on the purpose of research, methodology used, major findings and relevant references, and shall not be already submitted/published in any other conferences and journals. The conference paper should be prepared in two column IEEE standard conference format and the template available in the
